BILOXI, Miss. (WLOX) – The developer who proposed creating a Residence Inn next to a historic Biloxi neighborhood is scrapping all those ideas in favor of flats.
Harrison County Lodging Enhancement will go in advance with building Aqua Suites, a boutique resort along Freeway 90 west of White Avenue. But instead of setting up a multi-story, 180-home Residence Inn, the business will develop apartments on the land closest to Father Ryan Avenue.
Neighbors were fantastic with the little boutique resort but they fought the Residence Inn fearful about traffic, parking and lodge rooms overlooking their backyards. Right after listening to the grievances the developer pledged to just take a further glance.
