Previous Faculty Making, Now Blue Ridge Boutique Resort, Open In Spruce Pine

A 100 year aged school constructing in Spruce Pine has been transformed into a hotel.

The Avery Journal stories the Blue Ridge Boutique Hotel lately held its grand opening.

Operated by the Mayland Neighborhood Faculty Organization Company, the hotel is not operate by the college and uses no state funding.

Previously acknowledged as the Pine Bridge Inn, the constructing and land were donated by Robert Bailey, operator of the community firm Buck Stove and builder of the coliseum which is on the hotel’s property. The coliseum will be renovated to turn into the A few Peaks Enrichment Middle, an outdoor location that will seat 3,000 people.

According to the report, the renovation of the university making into a boutique resort was completed by nearby contractors.

There are at this time 16 rooms on the 2nd floor open for reservations, as effectively as a library and meeting home.

The Blue Ridge Boutique Lodge will close this winter to perform on the restaurant and bar, which will honor the space’s initial use and be referred to as The Principal’s Office, as well as an supplemental 16 rooms on the 3rd floor.
