Actual estate billionaire Stephen Ross and the Ilitch corporation, who are collaborating on the College of Michigan’s planned Detroit Heart for Innovation, released conceptual renderings Thursday showing new retail, housing, hotel and office developments in and near downtown.

In a phone interview Thursday, Ross claimed he considers the Detroit Centre for Innovation as the catalyst for the new developments.
