Beset by a two-year headwind of pandemic woe and provide chain stream, the AC Hotel by Marriott in Chesterfield eventually held its grand opening soiree Thursday — and aided out a good induce in the system.

The new hostelry in the vicinity of Spirit of St. Louis Airport actually opened its doorways March 23, even although matters were not fairly comprehensive at that time.

“We experienced hassle obtaining tops for some of our tables and we couldn’t use a couple of rooms right away due to the fact couch beds were being tricky to get,” said Jeffrey Brown, chief govt of Schahet Accommodations of Indianapolis, which is paired with Marriott on the project.

The improvement was introduced in late 2019, but design was delayed in 2020 by the COVID-19 pandemic. “But we’re right here now, open up and prepared to go,” Brown said

Together with serving up Aviation Gin cocktails and noshables for the group of about 100 people today, the resort also gave $5,000 to Wings of Hope, a regional nonprofit that gives health care evacuation flights and wellness treatment entry to remote communities.
