The Stark Team in December announced ideas to deliver a boutique hotel to Greenville: The Ficklen, a Tribute Portfolio Lodge.
Now the group is saying the hotel’s interior will be established by the style, branding and procurement company Interior Impression Team (IIG).
No stranger to historic renovation jobs, IIG will reimagine the E.B. Ficklen and Star Tobacco warehouse structures into an upscale boutique resort desired destination.
IIG strategies to draw inspiration from Greenville’s history as viewed in the processing plant and activities that previously transpired in the buildings to impact its inside structure and branding course.
In addition to its industrial earlier, the style group will make sure the household-owned residence “carries on a neighborhood-centric legacy crafted upon uniquely Southern activities and warm hospitality to aid foreseeable future development in Greenville,” according to a news launch.
Ideas for the new 70-room lodge consist of a chef-motivated cafe and lobby bar, an outside courtyard, a 10,000-square-foot occasion space and a 76,000-sq.-foot foods corridor and industry.
The interiors all through will complement the architecture with a modernized, southern model. Several touchpoints and inventive features will nod to the locale’s heritage and traditions, the release explained.
IIG’s design will restore and honor the building’s architecture and reveal its tobacco heritage. Tobacco leaf sorters, hogshead barrels, binding, slicing and drying will give inspiration for customized fixtures, products and artwork in new types and applications.
Historic things — this kind of as unique wooden columns and uncovered brick — will be paired with a rich, bold color palette. The inside also will feature regionally sourced finishes, one of a kind furnishings, spectacular lights and thoughtfully placed inside greenery, the news release explained.
The Ficklen Resort is anticipated to open up in 2023. IIG is collaborating with The Stark Group and added partners, together with Cornerstone Hospitality, Cana Growth, Ratio Architects, Hamel Builders, Rex Hospitality and Heart+Issue Models.
