All the new, upcoming San Antonio hotels and apartments
Since we last checked on the new apartment and hotel projects in San Antonio in April, we’ve already had quite a few new developments pop up, if not already open, in the Alamo City. One of the projects has been on the radar since 2019, but plans and the look of the entire development have recently changed.
Join MySA once again as we look at all the new multifamily developments and hotels in the Alamo City.
La Villita boutique hotel
Again, this project has been in the works since it was first proposed by hotel developer White Lodging to the Historic and Design Review Commission in December 2019.
HDRC approved new designs last week, where it went from a nine-story hotel to a 10-story hotel with a rooftop bar near historic La Villita at 431 Alamo Street. A spokesperson with White Lodging says more details about the hotel will come out soon, but a state construction filing said construction is expected to start in September.
The Floodgate
This 17-story mixed-use octagonal tower on the River Walk opened up its 60 units with ground floor retail in May. There is also 15,000-square-feet of restaurant space. The project was first introduced by local developer Keller Henderson in 2016.
The Residences at Grayson Heights
A local development group led by JJ Feik are planning this 281-unit multifamily development in Government Hill near the Pearl.
The city council recently approved $2.1 million from the Inner City Tax Increment Reinvestment Zone on June 28 fund to help kick start the $78 million project.
Potranco Commons
Santikos is getting into the multifamily market with local developer Lynd Co. on a 360-unit development on the Far Westside. The project will be built on property that was once the future site of a Santikos theater.
Elevate at Kitty Hawk
NRP Group, known for its affordable apartment developments around San Antonio, opened a $41 million, 212-unit development on the Northeast Side on June 9.
Elevate at Kitty Hawk gives residents access to a resort style pool, 24-hour fitness center, and an access-controlled playground.
Remington Ranch
Los Angeles-based Orion Real Estate Partners purchased these 180-unit apartments in June on the Northside called Remington Ranch.
The real estate group plans on doing renovations to the complex worth over $2.6 million.
