Airbnb calls these the top 10 summer travel destinations for 2022

Getaway organizing has been a little bit of a roller coaster experience the past couple several years, as pandemic anxiety kept built individuals near to property, even though pent-up wanderlust built other people yearn to fly far, far away.

But a new Airbnb survey identified that 90 percent of its visitors were being considering traveling this summer time. Bookings for Airbnb digs overseas are back to pre-pandemic degrees. The level of popularity of “unique homes” — very small properties, for illustration, barns and treehouses (!)  — has soared. And several intercontinental places, starting up with Venice and The Bahamas, have demonstrated irresistible to vacationers considering summer time designs.

Of course, these study success don’t maintain correct for everybody — and information crunchers concentrated on Airbnb queries in the very first quarter of 2022, so there is no knowledge readily available for the procrastinator demographic. (Or, as we want to be identified as, “spontaneous varieties.”)

But the 10 most well known international destinations among U.S. Airbnb bookers are a seashore-centric bunch, with eight of the vacation havens in sea-lapped places. The way they cluster is intriguing, also. Beachy or not, they’re all in Italy, the Caribbean, Mexico or Costa Rica. (We’re not absolutely sure what to make of that. No one’s going to Barcelona — or when in Spain, e book a lodge?)
